Family Day Portraits on the Way
I’ve finished editing most* of the portraits we shot on Family Day and they will be added to the posting queue shortly. They’ll begin appearing in the blog early Saturday, mixed in with a few of those remaining from the first shoot.

Family Day Portrait Count
Yesterday, we photographed 148 people for Portrait of Kitchener in just over two hours.
And do you know what? We could have done even more if the traffic had been there to support it.
Thanks to brilliant assistance from Dawn, Maryam and Madeleine, neither the process of photography nor explaining the project nor the signing of release forms was slowing us down.

Fun Fact
I just put the gear we’re using to make the portraits on a bathroom scale: 40kg (88lbs). This includes case, camera, lights, stands, batteries (heavy!), clipboards, forms, pens, wires, misc stuff …. and the posing stool.
Everything except the stool fits in a rolling hard case originally intended for golf clubs, and everything including the stool can easily be tossed into the back...
